John Kampmeyer Jr. 
Minister of Music

John Kampmeyer serves as Minister of Music as of March of 2024.

A lifelong resident of Springfield, John is a graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in music. John has been serving churches in the Delaware Valley area for over 35 years.

Prior to graduation, John was active in the music programs both at Springfield High School and St. Matthew Lutheran Church. He is a life-long musician, beginning with singing in the Cherub Choir at St. Matthew while in Kindergarten. It is at St. Matthew, while studying piano under Joseph Parsells, that John developed his love of organ.

John loves to serve the church through his gift of music. He sees his leadership in worship as a way to not only enhance the service, but also to lead the congregation to a higher spiritual plain. John is excited to be serving Church of the Redeemer.

John is married to his wife, Jeanne, (also a life-long Springfield resident) and has two grown children, John, III and Evelyn. He looks forward to exploring new ways to praise God through music. If this is something that interests you, please feel free to stop by the organ and speak to him.
